UNCONSCIONABLE GREED

The hearings at the House of Representative exposed the industry malpractice of Meralco and its sister companies. While First Gas was being paid billions of pesos by Meralco for undelivered power which is eventually charged to the filipino people, Meralco purchased the difference from NAPOCOR at peak hours also being charged to the public. First Gas was being paid in BILLIONS while supplying very little power or none at all. This is highway robbery and the justification is that it is an industry practice coming from the fraudulent IPP contracts entered into by the FVR government under the Pick & Pay provision where the IPP is being paid by its CAPACITY to generate power and not the power it is generating. This is UNCONSCONABLE GREED where the public is charged twice by Meralco for the same eletricity it distributed.

But don't blame FVR for entering into that onerous contracts with the IPP. BLAME FORMER PRESIDENT CORY AQUINO whose decision to mothball the BNPP without providing sufficient replacement that resulted in the 12 hours brownouts that turned back our economy by 10 years. FVR succumb to blackmail of the foreign investors who refused to put up the generating plants without assurance of reasonable returns.

A MONOPOLY NAMED MERALCO

It was almost unbelievable that the govt. of Pres. Arroyo will dare to challenge the powerful and mighty Lopez Clan. The Lopezes not only control Meralco, but also the mammoth ABS-CBN media giant which is a powerful weapon that they can unleash to destroy their business and political enemies.

Pres. Arroyo must have felt it is time to respond to the continuous vilifications she has been getting from the media giant since the "Hello Garci" scandal in 2005. The constant barrage of criticism she continuously received from ABS-CBN/ANC anchors like Korina Sanchez and Ted Failon must be hurting her and she decided to struck back, using the GSIS to break-up the Meralco monopoly.

A brilliant idea hitting two birds in one stone. By breaking the Meralco monopoly, she can lower the electric rates and exact her pounds of fleash from the Lopezes.

She has only less that 2 years in office and look forward to a legacy she can leave and she rightly seen the cruel monopoly of Meralco and its insatiable greed for profit that makes our electricity rates the highest in Asia. By destroying the monopoly, she actually leave a meaningful legacy for the filipino people.

JUNKET GALORE

Its travel time again and our honorable lawmakers are again sacrificing their well earned vacation by traveling to foreign countries in search of further knowledge in governance for the benefit of the people. The house delegation was ably lead by former Speaker Jose De Venecia while the Senate has the venerable Sen. Nene Pimentel at its helm. Their sacrifices will not remain unnoticed by the grateful Filipino people who will reap benefits from the additional knowledge that will be acquired by the honorable lawmakers in their search for knowledge in Cape Town Africa. SOBRA NA, TAMA NA, IABOLISH NA, NOW NA!

The never ending Senate investigation of the NBN-ZTE will probably last until the election in 2010. The sheer number of people implicated by the principal whistle blowers, Jun "kambing" Lozada, Jr.and Joey De (kalbo) Venecia at the parade of witnesses from the Witness Academy of Sen Pinky Lacson and Sen. Jumboy Madrigal will assure the avid followers of these moro-moro of its continuation until the last drop of publicity.

But sometimes, the Witness Academy in spite of rigid training and lost of patriotic funds cannot guarantee that a witness will follow the script of the producers. Mr. Leo San Miguel, a surprise witness of Pinky contradicted the previous testimonies of the three stooges, Jun Lozada, Joey De Venecia and Dante Madriaga. Pinky and Jumboy watch in disbelief as the surprise witness debunked the allegations of bribery, and overpricing in the NBN-ZTE deal and suggested to Sen Legarda to get an independent third party computation of the cost of the project for comparison with the proposal and not rely on the bias allegations of Joey De Venecia. Sen Lacson threatened Mr. San Miguel with contempt for daring to tell a "different version of truth" opposed to the truth of three stooges. ABOLISH THE SENATE, NOW NA!

RELUCTANT HERO OR A DEVIOUS CROOK

Star witness Jun Lozada is a confessed crook engage in fixing shady deals according to his testimony at the Senate. He is no hero like Clarissa Ocampo of Erap Impeachment fame. He is obviously a poisoned pawn of the opposition, being sacrificed to destabilized and topple the GMA administration.

The improving economy is disadvantageous to the opposition and they have to act before its effect sealed their doom in 2010. It is now or never.

The administration obviously believed that Jun Lozada is on their side. They failed to know that as early as September 2007, Jun is already conspiring with Sen. Lacson, using the brother of Jun as the go between. The patriotic fund offered to Jun Lozada is obviously tempting to betrays his friends Romy Neri and Mike Defensor. He is a modern-day Judas Iscariot.

He seeks protection from Sec, Atienza, and then quickly turned around and accused the police escort of kidnapping to add drama to his "confession" in the Senate. The police did not know what hit them. Only the evil genius of a former police chief is capable of concocting an evil scheme of this magnitude.

He is obviously very rich. Through his friend Romy Neri, he was able to join the exclusive Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club paying Php 450,000.00 for membership fee and annual dues of Php 200,000.00. His four children are all enrolled in an exclusive school. How he is able to pay all this for a measly Php 50,000.00 monthly salary is a mystery.

He ask for financial support while in Hongkong, and then accused Manny Gaite of offering him bribe. The piecemeal revelations is designed to prolonged the Senate investigation until it reaches the climax on February 25 when the supposed mass action supported by the disgruntled elements of the military will demand the resignation of the President or they will assault Malacanan.

The script is so obvious, the desired ending is no longer a surprise. The resulting economic collapse amid the global recession and the emergence of a military junta will be the rewards awaiting this conspirators. I hope they are the first to be put before the firing sguad of the praetorian guard of a new military dictatorship. I pity our country.

KARMA

Pres. GMA committed many mistakes but none so grievous and morally bankrupt than giving absolute pardon to Erap who has shown no remorse for the crime of plunder of which he was convicted by the Sandiganbayan after a long and tedious trial. He now threatens to make another run for the presidency buoyed by the support of his "masa" constituency who keeps on electing him inspite of the jueteng scandal, all night drinking and gambling right inside malacanan where decisions were made by people drunk with Johnny Walker blue label.

It is obvious that Pres. GMA was under duress when she made that fatal error by people close to Erap and now political allies of the President. Sec. Puno and Sec. Apostol made sure that Erap will not spend a single minute in jail.

Her karma will come in 2010 when she will find herself in jail convicted for plunder, electoral cheating, extrajudicial executions and bribery by a special court created by President Erap Estrada whom she deposed in 2001. Sec. Puno and Sec. Apostol will still be there in Malacanan as member of Erap's inner circle. The President Erap will be decide on the fate of the nation while drinking Johnny Walker Blue Label and playing majhong with his chinese croonies. Pathetic.

PENINSULA MANILA REBELLION

Sen. Antonio Trillanes missed his chance of being a martyr and a hero of the opposition when he surrendered instead of fighting it out with the police and being killed together with all the magdalo soldiers and supporters inside the Pen. The sight of a bullet riddled bodies of Sen. Trillanes, Gen. Danny Lim, former VP Tito Guingona, Bishop Labayen, leftist JV Bautista and Argee Guevarra will be frontline news in many newspapers around the world and may collapsed the Arroyo government.

But instead of sacrificing himself for the cause of the opposition, he decided to yield at the first volley of teargas and automatic fire. He is exposed as a coward and the 11 million stupid filipinos who voted him into office knows their hero has no balls.

HOODWINK

The opposition had done the impossible. They have managed to hoodwink the admin senators to align with the opposition in electing Sen. Villar as Senate President and Sen Pimentel also of the opposition as Minority Floor Leader. Now they have complete control of the Senate with Francis Pangilinan as Majority Floor Leader.

HUMAN SECURITY ACT

I dont know why they still want the Anti-terrorism Law repealed. The various amendments inserted by Senators Nene Pimentel and Jamby (the turtle) Madrigal had already made the law toothless and a joke to the terrorist. Considering that the law will be suspended before & after every elections is the first in the world and will easily qualify in the Guiness Book of Record and the penalty for wrong arrest at Php 500,000.00 per day of confinement will surely deter not the terrorist but the police and the other law enforcement agencies from applying the law. The law exist only for propaganda purposes of labelling the NPA and the Abu Sayyaf as terrorist organization which was already done by the USA and the EU.

A WELL LAID TRAP

Senator Villar runs as an opposition and should be the Senate President with the votes of the opposition. If he can't beat Senator Pimentel, then he should be happy to sit as an ordinary member of the majority and let the administration senators occupy the minority position. He's tricky and treacherous and so ambitious of becoming the next prez that he will do anything to get the senate presidency, using it as the platform to launch his presidential campaign in 2010. The admin should not fall into the trap of seeing a senate majority and minority in the oppositions hand.

SENATOR TRILLANES

The filipino people had done it again, voting into office another military putschist as Senator of the Republic. At least I can see the meltdown of the economy and the plunging of the Phil. currency. This will be beneficial to the OFWs and the exporters whose income were severely affected by the rise of the peso.

I expected the filing of another impeachement against PGMA at the opening of Congress by the opposition to continue the siege of Malacanan. The rallies and demonstrations will facilitate the collapse of the economy and the country's democracy will surely follows.

I HOPE

The election is over and as expected the senatorial candidates of the opposition swept the polls. The bright side however, is that the Bayan Muna party list was dislodged from the top spot by Buhay party list which was created by Mike Velarde of the religious cult "El Shaddai". They however retained their 3 party representatives enough to destabilized the government and finance the insurgents with their pork barrels.

With the oppos retaining the majority in the Senate, I expect the USD to strengthen and return to the previous exchange rate of 1 USD for every 56 Php. I hope the peso to further weaken for the benefit of the OFWs and their families who were being disadvantaged by the weakening of the dollar.

YOU CAN FOOL SOME PEOPLE .....

The communist front partylist group Bayan Muna, Gabriela, Anak Pawis and Partido Mangagawa are stumped by the deep plunged in their approval rating in the latest SWS and Pulse Asia surveys. Kudos to AKBAYAN for doubling their score in the said surveys and is now at par with Bayan Muna and may very possibly overtake Bayan Muna as the No. 1 in the ranking.

Surely, the filipino voters realized that this group of communist front organizations are not to be trusted because ot their hidden agenda, that of taking power by the use of the guns by the NPA and by their abuses in the countryside, killing, raping, and extorting from the farmers and natives and making their lives miserable. The filipino voters maturity is showing at last. There is hope in the future of this country.

THAT FILIPINO SPY

I pity Leandro Aragoncillo. He was such a nice guy but so naive. He threw away his career and the future of his family, just to help Pres. Erap and the opposition. I wonder if he was promised payment for his debt after the ouster of PGMA. What a waste!.

EVERYBODY'S DICTATING ON US!!

I wholeheartedly agree with Justice Secretary Raul Gonzales on the foreign meddling being done by various foreign organization at the invitation of the communist party list group. I thought we are a sovereign nation? How come just anybody can come into our country and ordered our government around. What kind of a government we have anyway? Blackmail

I have this strange feeling that the hostage taking of the 26 "musmos" by their benefactor is known to the parents in the hope of getting free education up to college for their children. As such, these parents should be charge of endangering the safety of their kids just to blackmail the government to accede to their unjust demand. Hundred of thousands of students will not be able to finish college because their parents are irresponsible. No thanks to the Roman Catholic Church whose anti-birth control posture have resulted to thousands of unwanted pregnancies that will actually promotes abortion. That Roman Catholic Church is actually guilty of propagating abortion by blackmailing the government of withdrawal of support if the government will not toe the line.

If only for their stand against the pork barrel, this party should be voted into office. The legislators should focus on their primary duty of legislating laws for the benefit of the country and not in building roads, bridges and playgrounds which is best left for the executive. The only reason they are aspiring to become congressman & senator is the pork barrel which they use to enrich themselves and recoup their expenses during election.

I am aghast at his answer during the forum. He will free a known terrorist who killed thousands just because his right is violated. His totally idiotic answer is one for Guinnes.
